The war in Gaza has become one of the most attention-grabbing conflicts in the world, with its impacts felt not only locally, but also throughout the Middle East. In recent decades, the situation in Gaza and its surroundings has developed into a complex issue, involving political, social and economic aspects, all of which contribute to regional instability. First, the conflict in Gaza often results in increased tensions between Israel and Arab countries. When attacks occur, countries such as Egypt, Jordan and other Gulf states feel compelled to take a stand, which often sours diplomatic relations. In many cases, the public positions taken by these countries could exacerbate domestic tensions, given that many Arab citizens are positive towards Palestine. Second, the social impact in the region is also very large. The number of Palestinian refugees increases every time the conflict flares up, worsening humanitarian conditions. This has led to a surge in the need for international assistance, which is often inadequate to address underlying problems. This need for assistance is often manipulated by political actors, resulting in dissatisfaction in society and the strengthening of extremist groups. Third, economically, the war in Gaza is destroying already fragile infrastructure. Investment in important sectors such as education and health is hindered. Gaza’s ongoing economic losses have resulted in increased unemployment and poverty, providing fertile fertilizer for radicalization. This instability often torments the younger generation, who feel they have no hope for a better future. Fourth, the war in Gaza also has implications for political stability throughout the Middle East. The tensions that arise are often exploited by foreign countries to increase their influence in regional politics. For example, Iran and armed groups like Hezbollah often use these conflicts as an excuse to strengthen their positions, creating a continuous cycle of instability. Furthermore, the role of social media in disseminating information about the conflict in Gaza cannot be ignored. These platforms function as mobilization tools for certain groups that support the Palestinian cause. However, on the other hand, they also exacerbate hate propaganda and radicalization, further deepening the gap between different communities in the Middle East. In an effort to understand the long-term impact of the war in Gaza, it is important to realize that this conflict is not just a regional issue, but also a global problem that requires a comprehensive solution. The role of international organizations such as the UN and global donors is very important in efforts to support recovery and development in Gaza. However, such success depends on the ability to overcome underlying political factors and create constructive dialogue between all parties involved. Therefore, the situation in Gaza remains an important indicator for stability in the Middle East as a whole. A prolonged conflict will only increase the risk of new wars and further instability, creating greater challenges for all countries in the region.
